Back by popular demand... Featured Speaker

      David Wheeler

      Former Professor, Johnson University, Tennessee

David travels quite a bit, speaking at seminars, retreats, leadership conferences, youth worker conferences, and Christ In Youth conferences. He was a keynote speaker at the North American Christian Convention, along with Max Lucado and Bob Russell. He has preached in 7 foreign countries and a writer for the Christian Standard and Standard Publishing.

David does a lot of stand-up comedy, and he is also deeply committed to promoting the use of drama in churches

David and Cathy were powerfully impacted by attending the “Grandparenting Matters!” seminar presented by the Legacy Coalition. In 2019 they were recruited as seminar presenters by the Coalition. David is also a member of the core leadership team and serves in the Legacy Pastors’ division. They are honored and thrilled to use their retirement years to motivate, inform and provide resources to thousands of grandparents, challenging them to become “intentional Christian grandparents”. More info at www.legacycoalition.com

David is ridiculously in love with Cathy, his wife of 48 years. The Wheelers live in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains. The two of them have cheerfully accepted the consequences of their love: two daughters, Julianna and Jennifer. Their loving families have blessed them with five grandchildren. Life is good!
