Lake Aurora Christian Assembly is a camp and retreat center dedicated to helping youth and families to develop core values based on Christian principles. It is our goal to give each participant a wholesome life experience in an outdoor setting.
To accomplish this we network with churches, educational, public and private organizations who share compatible philosophies and goals.
For more info, see our Overview of Lake Aurora Ministry brochure.
Our core belief centers on two principles: the Bible is the only inspired Word of God, and that Jesus alone is both Lord and Christ. He really lived, He died for our sins, He was raised from the dead, and He is one with God.
Because these are core beliefs, we are unable, by conscience, to accommodate groups whose teachings and practices are contradictory to these beliefs.
Located on a crystal clear lake, surrounded by wooded oak forests and citrus groves, Lake Aurora presents a peaceful, natural setting to enjoy lasting friendships, cozy campfires, and home-style cooking so good you'll want the recipe.
At Lake Aurora, experience God's creation in His sunrise over the lake, in a quiet walk through whispering trees, in the grandeur of the star strewn sky. These are experiences that make memories, build friendships and change lives.
Lake Aurora Christian Assembly, Inc. is owned and operated by independent congregations of the Christian church/Church of Christ in central Florida. (See Trustees page for a listing of our churches with websites)

Making the camper aware their whole life is lived before God and equipping them to live in harmony with the will of God by teaching him biblical principles and giving them opportunity to put them into practice.
This is done through a variety of programs using elements of nature, role modeling, skill development, Bible study and worship, and social and recreational interaction.
Helping men, women, and families to spend time addressing specific issues, developing skills and gifts, exploring ministry and vocational possibilities, ministering to each other, and worshipping and praising God.
This is done through programs targeted to specific areas of interest or need, utilizing proficient teachers and facilitators, and maximizing the rural nature of the Lake Aurora setting.
Providing program and logistic support to groups coming onto the Lake Aurora campus for the purpose of conducting camps and retreats which are consistent with the Lake Aurora’s mission.
These groups are usually church related, but may also include schools, clubs, communities, and businesses.
Cooperating with other organizations and communities to achieve mutual benefits.
The benefits to Lake Aurora may be financial, good will, needed services, property or buildings, or anything that contributes to the effectiveness of Lake Aurora in accomplishing its mission.
Lake Aurora Christian Assembly, Inc. is owned and operated by a fellowship of independent local congregations not affiliated with any national ecclesiastical organization. These congregations are commonly known as Christian Church/Church of Christ.
They have only Christ as their creed and hold the Scriptures as the only rule in faith and practice. It is their policy to make their camp and retreat center available to other Christian groups and nonprofit organizations so long as that group's purpose and objectives are not perceived to be contrary to the teachings of Christ and the Scriptures.
It is Lake Aurora's desire to be used of God to fulfill His purpose in the lives of men and women and especially youth and children. We welcome groups that we view as having similar purposes and we reserve the right to exclude groups that we view as teaching doctrine that is contrary to our practice and conscience. It is not our intent to judge, but to serve.
